Excluding Pages from the Top Menu (WordPress)

Open Admin page, Editor (under Appearance), click header.php. Locate the wp_list_pages function.  It will be something like this: <?php wp_list_pages(‘depth=1&title_li=’);?> Inser the following into the wp_list_pages syntax: &exclude=pageid1,pageid2,… It should look something like this: <?php wp_list_pages(‘depth=1&title_li=&exclude=429,438‘);?> Save this file.

Excluding Pages from the Sidebar (WordPress)

Note, these instructions are for WP themes with editable widgets (I use the Renegage II theme), Open Admin page, Widgets, and edit Sidebar where pages show (probably Sidebar 1). Under Sidebar, expand Pages, and enter a comma-separated list of Page ID’s in the Exclude field (ex: 283,429,438).
